Guidance & Advisory Opinions
The Authority issues official guidance and advisory opinions to support consistent interpretation and application of the Data Protection Act.
Organizations may request advisory opinions on matters including:
- Lawful bases for processing
- Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
- Data sharing arrangements
- Cross-border data transfers
Advisory opinions are issued at the discretion of the Authority and do not replace judicial interpretation of the law.
